The Sacrament of Marriage is a covenant, which is more than a contract.
A covenant always expresses a relationship between persons.
The marriage covenant refers to the relationship between the husband and wife, a permanent union of persons capable of knowing and loving each other and God.

Marriage is not purely a human institution despite the many variations it may have undergone through the centuries  in different cultures, and social structures.

Marriage Preparation Steps

1. Gather your Sacrament Certificates (ie. Baptism, First Communion, Confirmation) Baptism certificate must be printed in the year of your wedding with notations. Please contact your original church of baptism.
2. Set up a meeting with the Priest to talk about available dates and go the process.

If you are married civilly & would like to have ​your marriage blessed in the Church please set up an appointment to meet with a Priest. (Steps for a Convalidation vary depending on each individual circumstance.)
